I sleep all day so I can keep Mommy and Daddy up all evening and all night! Muhahahahahahahaha!
I went to church for the first time today after lots of napping! Daddy was busy with setting up and taking down before and after church, so he didn’t have much time to video me getting mobbed by everyone. But Aunt Esther held me for a long time and Mommy managed to get a shot.
I had a full day! We went to Mommy’s doctor to get her a checkup, and I loved the ride in the taxi and getting carried around by Daddy in my car seat. It was like a gentle amusement park ride (or so I’m told) and I slept the whole time. In fact, I slept so much that Mommy and Daddy went to Nando’s with me and I missed out on the peri-peri chicken! Anyhow, I got to see Dr. Nargis Fatema, who gave me birth, and received my birth certificate. At night Mommy and Daddy took me out to Casa Greek with Uncle Ben, Aunt Gem, and Uncle Isaac. Once again, I was sleeping…put me in that car seat and I’m out like a light! My slumber lasted enough for them to make a stop at the American Club, where I was fawned over by Aunt Liz, Aunt Carolyn, and Aunt Sandie, even though I was unconscious and don’t remember any of this. Finally we came back home and I had my own dinner (or is it my second dinner? or third? never mind) and went back to sleep again. I’m just waiting for Daddy to upload my video and put his head on the pillow before I let on that I’m awake. Let me sleep most of the day? I’ll show them!
Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor again today, and the nurses tried to take my blood. They stabbed my arms a ton of times and made them all red! Daddy made some unrepeatable comments about the quality of the “best medical care in Bangladesh” but I put my hands over my ears for the worst of it. Now my arms are already healing up and I’m having my last meal before I go to sleep. See you tomorrow!
A mostly quiet day, after I kept my parents up for half of the night fussing and crying. My plan is coming along nicely. First, Mommy and Daddy. Then I will conquer the world!
P.S. My Mommy keeps saying I’ve lost something called an “umbilical cord”. I never knew I had one of those, but my belly feels different on the outside. Either way, I’m not missing whatever chord it was, since I can’t even make sounds properly yet…
